Raven's idiosyncratic take on black metal is on full display on this comp. While just as raw as Starcave Nebula, Trollsword feels a bit more planned and rehearsed, with melodies, emanating from high-gain guitar work and ancient sounding synths, progressing fluidly, and with intention. It all comes together to create an atmosphere of wistful remembrances, but also one of vague and unnamable dread.

Despite being around for years, Trollsword has been sorely lacking in physical releases. This tape rectifies that. Thanks to the great 56Bile, all of this outsiders work has been compiled here.
