Lord Deathlaff explores new territory with this one. Though this is still black metal through and through, the overall tone differs from Nöldr considerably. The drumming is simple and repetitive, the melancholy melodies are heightened by minimalistic piano, and everything is soaked in an atmosphere that is both hypnotic and bleak. It's a nostalgic journey of introspection and sorrow that will burrow deep in your mind.
